As a dancer on” Soul Train” she met her dance partners Earl Martin and David Philips who were also television producers. Ed and David collaborated with Valerie on a soundtrack for the “Egyptian Cowgirl”, a television adventure show written and directed by Valerie. The show was based on a mythical fictional superhero that was an Ancient Egypt Princess”. Valerie portrayed the princess hero. This marked her debut as a film director, producer and actress. Valerie continues to have aspirations to be in front of the camera as an actress.  She has appeared in a John Singleton short/video for “Michael Jackson entitled “Remember the Time ”.

Second to “Thriller”, “Remember the Time” was the highest rated Video which Highlighted Michael Jackson’s career, She played alongside Richard Pryor in Eddie Murphy’s “ Harlem Nights”, and was cast in a Principle role for the film “Vera’s Girl starring Red Fox, Richard Pryor and Jasmine Guy, and in the movie The American Dream as a Jackson family member. Valerie has a real love for acting, dancing, television production, modeling, music and art.
